The Barbacoa steakhouse is a 2,500 square foot restaurant located in Spruce Grove, Alberta. Its design is centred on the idea of creating an authentic and open flame grill atmosphere, where people can gather for a casual steakhouse experience. 

The focus on the open kitchen from the dining room served to highlight the origins of barbecue and the brand's purpose. The space contains a blend of textures including brick, medium-toned woods and custom architectural metal detailing, delivering a warm and handcrafted ambiance. 

Carefully curated branding was integrated into the design to modestly pay homage to the brand's history and sense of community. In closing, custom upholstery combined with butcher block table tops lit with a sense of warm industrial light fixtures allows the chef's culinary excellence to be the guest's focal point.
