Parlour was envisioned as a casual, Italian-inspired pizza and wine bar, located in a 105-year-old brick warehouse in Edmonton’s Warehouse District. The design needed to complement the building’s historic brick and iron details while introducing a warm, modern atmosphere. CKDESIGN built a new kitchen at the back and added a mezzanine to increase seating by 50, with the main floor accommodating an additional 100 guests. A large wraparound bar frames an open Neapolitan pizza oven, serving as a vibrant focal point for the space.
The two-story interior was intentionally left raw, showcasing exposed beams, ironwork, and visible ducting. Original brick walls were cleaned and sealed, while hardwood-look tile flooring provided both warmth and durability. CKDESIGN collaborated with the branding team to align the interior with the brand’s identity, sourcing custom furniture and vintage décor from local markets. Outside, a courtyard-style patio was created with cedar fencing, a hardwood fireplace, iron-style furnishings, and ambient lighting—evoking the charm of Italy and complementing the Mediterranean-inspired menu.
