As the Senior Interior Designer, you will liaise with clients and the design director to conceptualize a vision and transform it into a reality. Reporting to the design director, the Senior Interior Designer will contribute to the team by assisting and supporting other designers with project demands, supervising and mentoring junior designers, and providing unique insight on all aspects of design. Hospitality design is rapid and the design growth is intense – no projects take more than 3 months to issue.

The Senior Interior Designer is experienced in cultivating relationships, comprehensive problem solving, and critical thinking. You will leverage your interpersonal and technical skills to holistically manage projects, with minimal supervision. Lastly, the Senior Interior Designer will be required to plan, manage, and control all construction administration issues and documentation with a high level of accuracy.

• Responsible to coordinate and supervise projects accurately and with excellence;
• Responsible to meet with clients and contractors with high level of confidence;
• Responsible to manage a job specific design team, their output, deadlines and profitability;
• Responsible for design quality and for specification errors;
• Prepare working drawings and construction documents for pricing and permit submissions;
• 3D renderings as required (hand sketch & digital);
• Programming, space planning, conceptual design and use of building code with minimal assistance;
• Coordination of partner consultants – including all engineers, architects and authorities;
• Conduct tender calls, prepare addenda’s, and prepare tender analysis;
• Contract administration including office paper work and site work;
• Mentoring and supporting other design team members.
